The largest shopping area is in the Broad Street area of Bridgetown, and, in addition, some bigger stores have branches in the many shopping centres throughout the island, around the West and South coast in particular. A wide range of imported goods from cameras to crystal are available as well as a variety of attractive products made on the island such as fashion, swimwear, crafts and leather goods.

As a general rule, most shops and stores in Bridgetown are open from 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri and 9am to 1pm on Saturday.

'Best of Barbados', a small chain with shops around the island, including one at 34 Broad Street in Bridgetown, has a good selection of crafts, books and other gifts.

Duty Free goods can be purchased on arrival at Grantley Adams Airport, at the cruise terminal as well as in Bridgetown on presentation of an airline ticket and passport.
